Very easy — livebearers. Females produce 20-40 fry monthly. Fry are relatively large and can survive in a well-planted community tank.
Diet & Feeding
Omnivore — flakes, micro pellets, blanched vegetables, frozen brine shrimp. Will also graze on algae. Feed 1-2 times daily.
Natural Habitat
Native to Central America (Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras). Found in warm springs and ditches with moderate vegetation.
