Easy. Lay egg clutches above the waterline (pink/white clusters). Eggs hatch in 2-4 weeks. Can produce 50-200 snails per clutch.
Diet & Feeding
Omnivore — algae, calcium-rich foods, blanched vegetables (zucchini, spinach), sinking pellets, cuttlebone for shell health.
Natural Habitat
Native to South America (Amazon basin). Found in slow-moving rivers, ponds, and swamps.
Care Tips
Lay eggs above the waterline — scrape off if you don't want babies
Need calcium supplementation for shell health — cuttlebone works great
Very sensitive to copper — lethal even in trace amounts
Great tank janitors — eat leftover food, dead plant matter, and algae
