The best algae-eating snail for freshwater tanks. Nerites clean glass, rocks, and decorations without eating plants. They won't overpopulate your tank since their eggs don't hatch in freshwater.

Herbivore — primarily algae. Supplement with algae wafers and blanched vegetables if the tank is too clean.
Natural Habitat
Native to coastal and brackish waters worldwide. Adapted to freshwater but eggs only hatch in brackish/saltwater.
